Bull and Heifer Inventory
There will be 22 yearling Angus bulls and 10 SCC bred heifers available for purchase at the January 11, 2025 sale from Schneider Cattle Company.
Steve McAndrews a long time friend and customer will be offering 10 of his commercial heifers, bred to calving ease SCC bulls, again this year. You can view the 2025 bull EPD information and a short video clip of each bull by clicking on the 2025 SCC Sale page in the toolbar along the top of the webpage. The SCC bred heifers are the top commercial heifers from our 2023 calf crop. The selection process to become a SCC heifer is not easy, heifers must be born early in the calving season, be out of a cow that has a great udder, good feet and brings in a good one every fall. This year SCC is offering a total of 10 bred heifers. We are offering 6 pure bred Angus heifers and 1 commercial heifer AI'ed to industry leading sires. All AI heifers were bred in a 3 day window, making an approximate due date of February 4. The remaining 2 pure bred Angus heifers and 1 commercial heifer were exposed to KG Justified 0143, a calving ease bull, for only 30 days and have an approximate calving start date of February 21. Any of these 8 pure bred Angus heifers are eligible to have registration papers transferred for $150/head fee. Transfer request must be made within 1 year of purchase. Registration information is available upon request. SCC heifers are on a full mineral program, scour bos vaccine program, have passed a pre-breeding exam, including a pelvic check and are on a Modified Live Lepto/Vibrio vaccination program. Heifers will sell buyers choice of 1 head up to 10 head. Up to date ultrasound preg information will be available at the sale. Any questions about SCC bulls or heifers can be directed to Mike Schneider at 515-491-6980. Steve McAndrews is a loyal customer of SCC genetics and will offer a top set of 10 commercial bred heifers. These heifers are bred to SCC calving ease bulls and ultrasound to start calving approximately March 20. McAndrews heifers passed a pre-breeding exam including pelvic check and all heifers are on a scour bos vaccine and Modified Live Lepto/Vibrio vaccination program. Preg information will be available the day of the sale and heifers will sell buyers choice of 1 head up to 10 head.
